Build and lead residential workshops that help exceptional people pursue high-impact work in AI safety, biosecurity, and policy. We're reviewing applications on a rolling basis. About Kairos Kairos is a nonprofit accelerating talent into AI safety and policy. In just over two years, we've trained 1,200+ people through our flagship programs: SPAR : The largest AI safety research fellowship, with 800+ mentees per round mentored by researchers from Anthropic, Redwood Research, RAND, MIT, the UK AI Security Institute, and others. Generator Residency : In partnership with Constellation, a platform for generalist talent to pitch, build, and ship projects that build capacity and infrastructure across the AI safety ecosystem, with advisors from OpenAI, AI Futures Project, METR, and more. Global Challenges Project : A workshop series introducing promising students to careers in AI safety and biosecurity, run several times a year across Oxford, Boston, and Berkeley. Pathfinder Fellowship : Helping grow the global network of AI safety university groups from a few dozen to nearly 100, with $9.5M in funding over the next two years to support their work. We see ourselves as a portfolio of highly impactful projects in a fast-evolving field. Over the next six months, we expect to double in size and launch several new initiatives addressing critical gaps in the ecosystem. The Role The Global Challenges Project (GCP) runs three-day residential workshops that help talented individuals explore careers in AI safety and biosecurity. Over the past few years, GCP has run dozens of workshops for 400+ students, mostly in Oxford, Boston, and Berkeley. GCP has a long and successful track record and became part of Kairos in early 2026. We're now expanding GCP into a full portfolio of workshops serving different audiences and career stages, with the ambition of becoming the leading fieldbuilding workshop organizer in AI safety and biosecurity. This means building new programs, new formats, and the systems to deliver reliably at scale. We're looking for a GCP Program Manager to build and lead at least two strands of our expanding workshop portfolio, reporting to Sam Glendenning, who leads the Global Challenges Project. You'll have broad ownership of your programs, from deciding what they should achieve and who they should serve through to delivering the workshops themselves. This includes outreach and marketing strategy, participant selection, guest recruitment, workshop design, team leadership, in-person delivery, and impact evaluation. This is an unusually hands-on role. You'll shape the strategy behind your programs, build the systems needed to run them effectively, and then lead them in person. Because we run our portfolio experimentally, individual programs may change or be discontinued, but this role is not tied to any single program. You'll own a portfolio that evolves as we learn what works. What You'll Do Own two or more GCP programs. You'll take responsibility for their strategy, design, delivery, and evaluation. Programs you may own include: Workshops for students newer to AI safety, for professionals considering a pivot into AI safety, or for accelerating people into politics or policy Workshop support for other organizations, from advice and coordination to running workshops on their behalf A high-impact format you propose (we're open to strong cases for new programs) Run programs experimentally. We're testing which of these programs offer the most value to the ecosystem. You'll experiment with both the format and purpose of your workshops, and be willing to discontinue programs that aren't working, even after investing significant time in them. Own outreach and participant selection. You'll develop marketing and outreach strategies, build strong applicant pools, and decide who will benefit most from attending each program. Build relationships and recruit guests. High-quality guests are central to the impact of our workshops. You'll proactively build relationships across the field and invite researchers, policymakers, funders, operators, and other experts to participate. Design excellent workshops. You'll develop the structure, sessions, content, and participant experience for each program, holding everything to a very high standard. Lead workshops in person. You'll give talks, introduce guests, advise participants, manage the team on the ground, and take responsibility for how well each workshop runs. Lead your program teams. We organize delivery program by program. You'll direct the work of the GCP team, interns, and volunteers on your programs (typically three to four people per workshop). Once the team grows, you'll likely line-manage one GCP team member and our interns. Measure impact and iterate. You'll collect structured feedback at every workshop, track participant outcomes over the following months, and use the evidence to improve, scale, or discontinue programs. Help GCP scale. You'll contribute to team-wide strategy, build operational structures and automation that let us expand without compromising quality, and help design and launch our internship program. Who You Are Experienced at running events. You've organized and delivered events such as workshops, conferences, or retreats, and you're comfortable making game-time decisions. Strong project delivery experience in complex in-person settings can substitute. Mission-aligned. You care deeply about how the development of advanced AI and biotechnology plays out, and you believe workshops can be a highly effective way to help talented people enter these fields. Good with people, and energized by workshops. Leading three-day residential events is central to this role. You'll need the energy to engage with participants and guests throughout while keeping the event running smoothly. Comfortable managing a small team. Within a year, you'll likely begin managing 2 or more people. Prior experience managing operational or programmatic teams is a strong plus. High agency. You'll have significant ownership over your programs, and we expect you to spot problems early, adapt when plans change, and fix things without waiting to be asked. Highly organized. You'll oversee several programs simultaneously, each with different workstreams, teams, and deadlines. You'll need strong systems for keeping everything on track. Familiar with the AI safety ecosystem. You know the major organizations and people in the field and understand how its parts fit together. You use that context to make good strategic decisions and to point participants toward the right opportunities. Familiarity with biosecurity or US policy is a plus, and matters more for some programs than others. Why Work With Us You'll work toward reducing risks from advanced AI and biotechnology, two of the most important challenges of our time. Both fields need far more talented people than they have, and our workshops move promising people into careers working on them. You'll build and develop your own programs, lead the teams delivering them, and see the results firsthand. GCP already has a strong brand, an excellent reputation, and a long track record. You'll build on one of the ecosystem's most successful workshop programs while joining a team with the ambition to become the leading workshop organizer in the space. You'll work closely with high-profile guests across AI safety and biorisk, developing a strong professional network. We're building a world-class team, so you'll be in good company. Work alongside people who've come to Kairos from METR, Coefficient Giving, Rethink Priorities, the UK AI Security Institute, and CEA who share your commitment to impact. What We Offer Salary : $140,000–$195,000 (baseline), $175,000–$245,000 (supported hubs, like London, DC, Boston, and NYC), or $195,000–$270,000 (San Francisco Bay Area), depending on experience, with potential for additional compensation for exceptional candidates Location : This is a remote role. We provide access to office space in San Francisco, Berkeley, London, or Boston, with optional coworking elsewhere. If you work from an AI safety office in one of these cities, we cover food, lunches, and office expenses. If you work from home, we cover home office expenses. Benefits : Flexible working hours, highly competitive health insurance, dental and vision coverage, generous vacation policy, and professional development budget Team retreats: We host all-team retreats three times a year to connect in person, collaborate, and build team culture. Travel: Work-related travel and expenses covered. Logistics Start date : Ideally by October or early November 2026, with flexibility for the right candidate This is a remote role, with travel roughly 8 to 12 times a year (typically 3 to 6 days at a time) for workshops, conferences, and events, predominantly in the UK and US. We're a remote-first organization, but because of how the GCP team works, we have a preference for candidates within five hours of UK time. Our current team spans GMT-8 to GMT+1, and we'll gladly consider exceptional candidates elsewhere, including in the US. We may be able to sponsor visas for the UK or US, depending on individual circumstances, including but not limited to O-1A visas. We can't make guarantees regarding visa approval. Our Culture We're a small, high-trust team motivated by the urgent challenge of making advanced AI go well. We try hard to figure out where we're wrong, which means we say uncomfortable things to each other and change our minds fairly often. We value collaborative truth-seeking, a scout mindset, agility, and an alliance mindset with the broader ecosystem. We also believe meaningful work should be enjoyable. We support each other's well-being, celebrate wins, and maintain a healthy sense of humor even when the work is hard. Application Process We're reviewing applications on a rolling basis. Application form (10–20 mins) Take-home assignment (2–4 hours, paid) Interview (45 mins) Reference checks Work trial (3 days, paid) Offer If you're excited about this role but unsure whether you meet every qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway. If you're interested in multiple roles, apply to the one that best fits your skills and interests, and note in your application the other roles that you'd like to be considered for. This role's scope, salary, and responsibilities may evolve, and we'll keep you in the loop about any changes if you apply. AI tools help us review applications. The team has created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense deals worth billions of dollars, and designed and built 30+ novel aircraft, with aerospace experience from Scaled Composites, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic. The Role Right now our factories are floor plans, early equipment, and a handful of people who've done this before. In a few years they need to produce aircraft at rate. You'll help find everyone in between. You'll be a core part of our manufacturing hiring across two sites: our Oxnard HQ and a new facility in Northwest Arkansas. Early on, that means landing the few people who set the foundation. Later, it means scaling fast without lowering the bar. When manufacturing hiring is lighter, you'll flex to support other teams across the company, so you'll never be short on work or on range. The Work Own full-cycle hiring across manufacturing, industrial, quality, tooling, and production roles at both sites, from technicians on the floor to the leaders running them Learn manufacturing well enough to follow a layout review. Composites, tooling, process development, and factory ramp: you should know what good looks like Recruit from where the talent actually is. Automotive, EV, consumer hardware, and high-rate industrial manufacturing are often better sources for us than legacy aerospace Build our Northwest Arkansas talent pipeline from zero: schools, trade programs, local manufacturers, veteran networks, and community partners Hire ahead of the scale-up. Build relationships today with people we may not hire for two years Flex to support aircraft, supply chain, operations, and other teams when manufacturing volume allows. Manufacturing always comes first You Have [4+] years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with meaningful time recruiting for manufacturing, production, or hardware teams Know the difference between a manufacturing engineer and an industrial engineer without looking it up Have hired through a factory launch, production ramp, or high-growth hardware environment and liked the pace Can run hiring in two very different markets without either one feeling like the afterthought Would rather source a composites tech out of a boat builder than wait for an applicant Bonus Points Recruiting experience at an EV, automotive, aerospace, or hardware company during a plant launch or ramp Experience hiring hourly and skilled trades at volume alongside engineering roles Familiarity with the Northwest Arkansas or Midwest manufacturing talent market Supply chain or operations recruiting experience Why This Seat You get to build the hiring engine for a factory before it exists, at a company where manufacturing is the whole ballgame. How We Recruit We're a small recruiting team building a defense company that has to win. Here's how we operate, and we hire recruiters who already work this way. The Standard. We know the work deeply. We are not generalists hiding behind job descriptions; we study the engineering, the domain, and the landscape until we can hold a real conversation with a practitioner. Every candidate who talks to us should call it the best recruiting experience of their career, and we each bring our own personality to get there. High touch, never scripted. How We Think. One foot old school, one foot forward: we're obsessive about the fundamentals of recruiting and restless about finding better ways to do it. We play the long game and hire for what someone will do in two and five years, not just next quarter. And we'd rather define the industry standard than follow it. How We Operate. Mission first, always. Speed is a competitive weapon, and we use it. Quality over comfort: we'll have the harder conversation with a hiring manager before we'll make the easy hire. If that reads like a description of how you already work, we want to talk. ITAR requirement To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Our mission: eliminating every barrier to mental health. Spring Health is a global mental health company on a mission to eliminate every barrier to mental health. We're building a world where getting support is simple, personal, and built around the person, so care can continue through every job, move, health plan, and life stage. As an AI-native company, we believe technology should expand the reach, quality, and humanity of care. Every Spring Health team member is expected to use AI tools thoughtfully, apply human judgment to AI outputs, and keep building AI fluency in ways that support their role and our mission. Reporting to the Senior Director of Care Operations Intelligence, the Director, Experience Intelligence & Quality owns the voice-of-customer (VoC) signal infrastructure that captures what Spring Health's members, providers, employers, and payers are experiencing. Additionally, this leader will own the standards our frontline support and clinical teams are measured against: QA methodology, rubrics, calibration, and improvement strategy across every channel. This role will be responsible for continuing to shift the VoC and quality teams into an AI native organization. This is a full time, fully-remote position, though the ability to be onsite in our NYC office once a week is preferred. What you'll do: Build and run the voice-of-customer / signal-synthesis capability: consolidate unstructured member, provider, employer, and payer feedback into a single signal infrastructure. Insights Ops teams can act on directly go to QA, Training, and function owners; systemic issues needing product, policy, or process change get surfaced to Process Engineering, Product, and other cross-functional partners. Own an AI-native cross-channel quality strategy: one measurement standard, one defect taxonomy, one sampling approach, and one calibration process spanning AI-handled and human-handled interactions. Partner with Process Engineering on the diagnose/fix boundary: this role sets the QA rubric and methodology that AI-failure diagnoses are scored against; day-to-day gap-log triage sits with Process Engineering pending the working-session decision on scope. Design a signal- and defect-prioritization framework so the highest-impact issues get worked first, partnering with frontline leadership to design and evaluate quality improvement initiatives (e.g., training updates, workflow changes, automation opportunities). Own the tool stack used across VoC and QA, including consolidating vendors where possible. Build out and manage a high-leverage team spanning all elements of the quality and VoC cycle: VoC analysts, quality strategists, and QA reviewers led by a Senior Manager. What success looks like: A working VoC signal pipeline — feedback synthesized, prioritized, and routed — with a measurable VoC-driven action rate and shrinking insight-to-action cycle time. One quality measurement standard and defect taxonomy in place across AI and human channels, replacing two divergent stacks. QA coverage of support and clinical interactions increasing via automation, with calibration variance and inter-rater agreement inside range. Reliable critical-error (compliance/HIPAA) catch rates. Leadership and cross-functional partners have a trusted, evidence-based read on where quality is breaking and why, across AI and human-delivered service alike. CSAT trending up across member, provider, employer, and payer groups. What you'll bring: 8+ years of experience in operations strategy, analytics, or a related role (e.g., management consulting), preferably within healthcare; 5+ years in a leadership role. Experience running voice-of-customer or signal-management programs and turning unstructured feedback into prioritized, actionable insight. Experience leading quality functions in a high-volume service delivery environment (healthcare, contact center, or similar). Demonstrated ability to partner with senior executives to solve complex business challenges using data, structured analysis, and exceptional communication skills. Track record integrating two teams or tools into one operating model (post-acquisition or post-reorg) without stalling either program mid-transition. A builder's mindset — comfortable establishing frameworks, processes, and standards in a scaling environment. People leadership experience managing managers or multiple sub-functions. Nice to have: Direct experience building or scaling a QA function — scoring rubrics, calibration programs, inter-rater reliability — ideally including a shift from manual/sampling review toward AI-assisted or AI-native scoring. Experience with AI-scoring / auto-QA platforms (e.g., Zendesk QA, Maestro QA or similar). Background spanning both care/clinical delivery and RCM, claims, or another regulated, financial-services-adjacent operations environment. Comfort operating with real ambiguity — this org is still being designed as part of an active M&A integration, and several ownership boundaries with Process Engineering aren't finalized yet. Benefits provided by Spring Health: Note : We have even more benefits than listed here and below, your recruiter will provide more in-depth information as you continue in the interview process. Swarm Aero is redefining air power, building the largest swarming UAV and the most versatile swarming aircraft network in the world. The company is moving quickly to launch the first aircraft designed specifically for swarming, as well as the Command & Control software to mobilize swarms of thousands of heterogeneous autonomous assets and empower human operators to achieve superhuman results. The team has created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense deals worth billions of dollars, and designed and built 30+ novel aircraft, with aerospace experience from Scaled Composites, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic. The Role Great technology loses to good technology that reaches the customer first. You'll hire the people who make sure ours gets there, and the people who keep the company running while it scales. This seat owns hiring for Mission and defense business development, business operations, finance and accounting, real estate, and marketing. The searches are fewer, but every one of them matters. Many are the first hire in a function: the finance leader who takes us into our next stage, the real estate lead who helps stand up a new facility, the capture and program people who put our aircraft and software in front of the warfighter. We treat them like the high-stakes searches they are. The Work Own full-cycle hiring across Mission, business operations, finance and accounting, real estate, and marketing Recruit defense BD, capture, program, and mission roles with real credibility, and know where those people come from: primes, defense tech startups, the Pentagon, and the operational force Run senior and first-of-kind searches like an executive search partner: map the market, calibrate early, and close hard Be the advisor first-time hiring managers didn't know they needed. Challenge the role when it's wrong and help define what great looks like Build relationships with future leaders before we need them, so the next search starts warm Convince exceptional people who never pictured themselves in defense that this is the most important work they'll ever do You Have [5+] years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including senior or executive-level searches Have recruited in or around defense, government, or national security, and know the difference between BD, capture, and program management Have closed candidates who had other options, including at the leadership level Earn hiring managers' trust by telling them the truth about the market, even when it's not what they want to hear Love range. A controller, a head of marketing, and a defense BD lead in the same week sounds like a good week to you Bonus Points Executive search or agency background paired with in-house startup experience A network in the defense BD, capture, or military community Experience hiring finance, real estate, or marketing leaders at a scaling company Military service or experience recruiting veterans and transitioning service members Why This Seat You'll build the teams that take our technology to the fight, and the teams that keep us standing while we grow. Swarm Aero is an equal opportunity employer. We value diverse backgrounds and experiences and make employment decisions without regard to race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, or disability. What We Offer Meaningful equity in a high-growth defense technology company Competitive base salary commensurate with experience Medical, dental, vision, and 401k PTO and paid sick leave Monthly wellness stipend Daily catered lunch (office) Paid parental leave Direct impact on a critical national security mission A world-class team of engineers and operators solving genuinely hard problems Compensation: $130K – $180K • Offers Equity • $130K – $180K • Offers Equity Find Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
