Accountant FORACO CANADA Ltd., an international drilling company serving the Canadian mineral exploration market, is currently accepting resumes from qualified individuals for an *Accountant position based in its North Bay, Ontario office. Target Start Date and Duration: * This is a Full Time permanent salaried position and is available immediately. _Reporting to the Senior Accountant, some of the key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:_ * Support accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting activities. * Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions. * Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. * Support project and job-cost accounting, including cost allocations and reconciliations. * Assist with fixed-asset records, inventory reconciliations, and financial reporting. * Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. * Ensure compliance with established financial controls and approval procedures. * Work collaboratively with the accounting team and other departments. Required Experience and Skills/Qualifications: * Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. * Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience considered an asset. * Good understanding of accounting principles and practices. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications. * Experience with accounting software, intercompany transactions or project accounting considered an asset. * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team.
