Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across a variety of projects, ensuring safety, precision, and efficiency at every stage. Responsibilities * Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities. * Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures such as walls, floors, ceilings, roofing systems, siding, and cabinetry with precision. * Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, assemble, and finish materials including wood, drywall, concrete forms, rebar, and masonry components. * Perform concrete forming and rebar installation to support foundational work on various projects. * Install flooring materials such as tile and hardwood; lay out and install siding and roofing systems according to specifications. * Execute drywall installation, finishing, caulking, and painting to achieve smooth surfaces ready for final finishes. * Collaborate with team members on heavy lifting tasks and assembly work; assist with plumbing and electrical rough-ins when needed. * Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials; adhere strictly to safety protocols at all times. * Provide accurate construction estimating input when required; ensure project timelines are met through efficient workflow management. Skills * Proficient in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. * Extensive experience with carpentry techniques including woodworking, framing, cabinetry installation, drywall finishing, flooring installation, tile laying, siding application, roofing procedures, caulking techniques, and masonry work. * Skilled in operating hand tools (saws, hammers) and power tools (drills, nail guns), with a strong focus on safety. * Knowledge of concrete forming processes and rebar installation for foundational projects. * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physically fit for demanding construction tasks. * Basic understanding of plumbing systems and electrical rough-ins; handyman experience is beneficial. * Strong construction experience with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship; capable of working from detailed schematics and technical instructions. * Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently when necessary.
