Summary Hydrovac Waste Solutions is seeking a reliable and experienced Jr. Heavy Equipment Operator to support our operations at our 170 St location. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment in a variety of job site conditions, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities * Operate dozers and other heavy equipment to move, grade, and level materials * Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks * Work closely with site supervisors and crew to complete projects on schedule * Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times * Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations * Identify and report mechanical issues or hazards promptly * Assist with other site duties as required Qualifications & Requirements * Minimum 2?3 years experience operating heavy equipment (more preferred depending on role) * Valid driver?s license (Class 5 minimum; higher class considered an asset) * Strong understanding of grading, excavation, and site preparation * Ability to operate equipment safely in various weather and ground conditions * Good communication and teamwork skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Safety tickets (e.g., CSTS, First Aid, Ground Disturbance) considered an asset Working Conditions * Outdoor work in varying weather conditions * Physically demanding role requiring extended periods of sitting and equipment operation * Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on workload What We Offer * Competitive wages (based on experience) * Full-time, year around steady work * Supportive team environment * Opportunities for growth and advancement Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Vision care Work Location: In person Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Vision care Work Location: In person
