Job Title: Software Engineer (Backend) Location: Fremont, CA Duration : 12+ months Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer with deep expertise in designing, building, and scaling highly available distributed systems. You will play a key role in architecting resilient backend services, optimizing system performance, and developing cloud-native applications capable of handling high-throughput, low-latency workloads. The ideal candidate is an experienced backend engineer with strong Golang expertise and a proven track record of building microservices and distributed systems in production environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable distributed systems using Go (Golang). Build and optimize high-performance RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and event-driven microservices. Design resilient, fault-tolerant architectures capable of handling millions of requests with high availability. Develop and maintain microservices using modern distributed architecture patterns. Integrate messaging systems such as Kafka for asynchronous communication and event streaming. Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and observability. Work with data stores including MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB. Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and maintainable backend solutions. Strong understanding of REST APIs and service-oriented architecture. Hands-on experience with Kafka and asynchronous messaging systems. Experience working with Redis for caching and distributed data management. Strong knowledge of database design using MySQL and MongoDB. Experience debugging and optimizing distributed applications.
