head bartender

The Supermarket is a 400-capacity live music, DJ, and event venue in Kensington Market. We?re looking for an experienced Head Bartender who lives locally, loves live music, and enjoys working in a busy, energetic venue. Responsibilities * Lead the bar team during busy nights and events * Ensure fast, friendly, professional service * Train and support bartenders * Manage bar setup, closing, and daily operations * Monitor inventory, stock levels, and waste * Help drive bar sales and maintain high service standards * Work closely with the Bar Manager, artists, promoters, and event staff * Handle customer issues professionally Requirements * Previous experience as a Head Bartender or senior bartender * Experience working in a live music venue, concert venue, nightclub, or similar environment * Lives locally and can reliably get to the venue for late-night shifts * Smart Serve certified * Strong leadership and communication skills * Comfortable working in a high-volume environment * Available evenings, weekends, and event nights * Must genuinely enjoy live music and nightlife We?re looking for someone dependable, energetic, hands-on, and proud to be part of the venue?not someone who simply wants a bartending job.
