Java Developer with Hadoop

Role : Java Developer Location: Charlotte, NC, Dallas TX , Newark DE Must Have Technical/Functional Skills Primary Skill: Spring boot, Core java, Hadoop, pyspark, Hive Secondary: Kafka We are seeking a Java Developer with strong expertise in Java 10+ and modern backend application development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-native applications. Exposure to Hadoop ecosystem technologies is required to support data-intensive applications and integrations, though this is not a core Hadoop development role. Must Have Skills • Java 10+/11+/17+ • Spring Boot • Microservices Architecture • RESTful Web Services • Kafka • OpenShift / Kubernetes • Oracle SQL / PL-SQL • JUnit, Mockito • Git, Maven, CI/CD • Basic to Intermediate Hadoop ecosystem experience Required Technical Skills • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices. • Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services. • Knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architecture. • Experience with OpenShift, Docker, or Kubernetes. • Good understanding of relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools. • Understanding of software design patterns and secure coding practices. Hadoop Experience (Good to Have / Secondary Skill) Candidate should possess working knowledge of: • Hadoop ecosystem concepts (HDFS, YARN, Hive) • Basic Hive query development and troubleshooting • Understanding of data ingestion and batch processing workflows • Experience working with Hadoop-based data platforms in support of application development • Exposure to Spark is a plus
