Java Software Developer

Heitmeyer Consulting is currently seeking a Java Developer for an opportunity with one of our financial services clients. The person needs to live in the Columbus, OH area. Cannot use C2C or agencies for this. The Java Developer will help build and support the consumer payment origination and processing segment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and modern software engineering practices. Experience with enterprise integration, event-driven architectures, Kafka, and DevOps/CI-CD pipelines is highly desirable. Additionally, our client is looking for a candidate who has worked on any cloud platform and has developed using pairing as they'll cross-develop applications with a peer. Required Skills: Experience in developing microservices while utilizing continuous integration, build and delivery w/ Spring and SpringBoot. Experience using non-relational databases such as Mongo DB. Experience working in any of the cloud platforms. (AWS, GCP, Azure) Experience working in Agile Methodology Experience leveraging Kafka.
