Description

About The Role The role builds the mobile experiences users touch every day - native iOS and Android applications where performance, offline behavior, and release velocity all matter. The team ships to production on a weekly cadence to a user base measured in the millions. You will own features end-to-end across the client stack, working directly with backend engineers on API contracts, with designers on interaction quality, and with platform teams on build tooling and CI/CD. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and ship user-facing features natively on iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose) Own cross-platform architecture decisions where shared logic makes sense - Kotlin Multiplatform or native modules, depending on the feature surface Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, handling real-world failure modes: flaky networks, partial connectivity, background sync Instrument and optimize app performance - cold start time, frame rates, memory footprint, and battery usage - using tools like Instruments and Android Profiler Drive quality through unit, integration, and UI testing (XCTest, Espresso); own feature flag rollout and staged release strategies Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for mobile: automated builds, code signing, TestFlight / Play Console release management Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and mobile guild standards; mentor mid-level engineers on platform idioms What We Are Looking For 3+ years of professional mobile engineering experience, with shipped apps on at least one of iOS or Android and working knowledge of the other Deep proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI (iOS) or Kotlin and Jetpack Compose (Android), including modern concurrency (async/await, coroutines, Flow) Experience consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs with robust caching, pagination, and offline-first strategies Track record of debugging hard production issues: crash analysis, ANRs, memory leaks, and platform-specific rendering problems Comfort with mobile CI/CD tooling (Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, Gradle, GitHub Actions) and modular app architectures (MVVM, MVI, or similar) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience Bonus: experience with KMP/Flutter, mobile telemetry frameworks (Sentry, Firebase Performance), accessibility standards, and contributing to open-source mobile tooling
