Job Title: Senior Node.js Developer Location: Menlo Park, CA Experience: 8+ Years Work Mode: Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite per Week Visa: Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. Job Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Node.js Developer with 8+ years of software development experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance, and secure backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, RESTful APIs, databases, and cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js. Build and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL services. Develop integrations with databases, third-party services, and external APIs. Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code. Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance. Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional teams. Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture and technical decisions. Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and production monitoring. Required Skills 8+ years of experience in software development. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. Hands-on experience with Node.js and frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify. Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs. Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis. Good understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture. Experience with Git, Jest, Mocha, or Chai. Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience with microservices and distributed systems. Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ. Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and JWT authentication.
