Python Engineer (ONLY LOCCAL TO AZ)

Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Engineer with deep expertise in building scalable backend systems, APIs, and cloud-native applications. This role is engineering-first and requires someone who can design, develop, and troubleshoot complex Python applications from scratch without relying heavily on AI-assisted coding tools. While experience with Generative AI, LLMs, or AI-powered applications is desirable, the primary focus is identifying a strong software engineer with exceptional Python development skills, strong system design capabilities, and proven experience building production-grade solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications and backend services. Build and support REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems in production environments. Develop high-quality, maintainable, and testable code following software engineering best practices. Participate in architecture discussions, system design reviews, and technical decision-making. Troubleshoot complex application, performance, and scalability issues. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. Work closely with product, engineering, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable solutions. Contribute to code reviews, mentoring, and engineering standards. Support modernization efforts involving AI-powered applications and intelligent automation platforms. Required Qualifications Core Python Engineering (Most Important) 8+ years of professional software engineering experience. 6+ years of hands-on Python development experience. Demonstrated expertise in: Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Design Patterns Data Structures & Algorithms Exception Handling Concurrency & Parallel Processing Performance Optimization Testing Frameworks Debugging & Troubleshooting Ability to develop solutions from scratch without heavy dependence on AI coding assistants. Strong understanding of Python internals and advanced language features. Backend Engineering Extensive experience building: REST APIs Microservices Backend Services Event-driven applications Experience with: FastAPI Flask Django SQLAlchemy or equivalent ORM frameworks Cloud & Platform Engineering Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience deploying and supporting production workloads. Strong knowledge of: Docker Kubernetes Git CI/CD pipelines Monitoring and Observability Data & Database Experience Strong SQL skills. Experience with relational databases and data modeling. Experience designing and supporting data processing workflows. Preferred Qualifications Experience delivering at least one production AI/GenAI solution. Familiarity with: Large Language Models (LLMs) Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Prompt Engineering Vector Databases LangChain LangGraph CrewAI AutoGen Exposure to MLOps, MLflow, Databricks, Spark, Kafka, or similar technologies. Experience building AI-enabled business applications.
