Responsibilities * Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. * Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies. * Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. * Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker dental practice management software. * Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols. * Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up care instructions efficiently. * Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient care and office operations. * Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices, including orthodontics and pediatrics, to enhance service quality. Qualifications * Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. * Prior experience working in a dental office setting, preferably with pediatric or orthodontic patients. * Proficiency in using Tracker. * Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral health conditions. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages.
