Grimsby Animal Hospital is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our AAHA-accredited companion animal hospital in Grimsby, ON. What You'll Be Doing * Prepare surgical patients and participate in the entire surgical process from preparation and induction through anesthesia monitoring and recovery. * Monitor anesthesia and vital signs while maintaining patient safety and comfort. * Perform dental cleanings, dental radiographs, and other dental procedures. * Perform laboratory testing and collect, prepare, and process diagnostic samples. * Provide nursing care and post-operative monitoring for surgical and dental patients. * Perform a variety of technician appointments, including anal gland expressions, technician injections, blood and urine collection, discharge appointments, diabetic education, and more. * Assist veterinarians with patient care, diagnostics, and medical procedures. * Educate clients about preventative healthcare, medications, dental care, and post-operative care. * Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols. What We're Looking For * Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification required. * A positive, team-oriented attitude and a genuine passion for patient care. * Strong communication and organizational skills. * Confidence working in a busy clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Interest in surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, nursing, and client education. * Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the veterinary team. * Previous experience is an asset, but we are open to RVTs at different stages of their careers who are eager to learn and grow.
