About The Role Energy Innovation Corp is seeking a remote Frontend Developer to help deliver incremental improvements across its web experience and supporting development tools. In this role, you will contribute to frontend development using Vue.js and Webpack, collaborate with colleagues working across platform technologies, and take ownership of key tooling as your knowledge grows. The broader technical environment includes RabbitMQ, Terraform, and Kafka, providing opportunities to understand how frontend applications connect with distributed services and infrastructure. You will join a team that emphasizes thoughtful implementation over unnecessary complexity. With guidance from a mentor, you will build familiarity with the platform, take on increasing responsibility, and develop toward greater ownership of frontend systems and tooling. The position also includes participation in on-call responsiveness, helping the team identify and respond to issues that affect the platform. This is a remote opportunity with flexible remote working hours. Qualifications We are looking for a developer with experience building or improving frontend applications and a genuine interest in creating clear, dependable user experiences. Familiarity with Vue.js and modern JavaScript development practices is important. Experience with Webpack or comparable frontend build tools will help you contribute effectively to the team's tooling and delivery workflows. Candidates should be comfortable collaborating with engineers across disciplines and learning how frontend systems interact with backend services and infrastructure. Exposure to technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Terraform is useful, though the role also offers room to develop knowledge in these areas. We value careful problem-solving, clear written communication, and the ability to document decisions and implementation details. A willingness to participate in on-call responsibilities, respond constructively to feedback, and keep learning is essential. Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain frontend features using Vue.js, delivering improvements in manageable increments. Work with Webpack and related tooling to support reliable development and delivery processes. Take ownership of selected tools and workflows, identifying opportunities to improve their usability and maintainability. Collaborate with teammates to understand requirements, discuss trade-offs, and make well-reasoned implementation decisions. Contribute to the quality and reliability of the platform by reviewing changes, documenting relevant processes, and addressing defects. Build an understanding of how frontend components integrate with services and systems that use RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Terraform. Participate in the team's on-call responsiveness, following established practices to help investigate and communicate platform issues. Work with a mentor to strengthen technical skills and progressively take responsibility for key areas of the product. Benefits The annual salary range for this position is $67,000 to $94,000, depending on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
