• We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer - Backend to join our team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the designing and building of a highly scalable, cloud-native SaaS application. This is a hands-on technical position where you'll contribute to the product from vision to execution, working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position requires 10 or more years of professional software engineering experience. What You'll Do: Architecture & Development: Modernize a legacy .NET Framework system to a .NET 10-based architecture. Design and implement cloud-native services within a distributed system, adhering to Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles. Conduct data modeling and relational database schema design for core domain models. Implement RESTful APIs with OpenAPI-compliant specifications. Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical leader within your team, guiding architectural decisions and mentoring junior developers. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly with the Jobba product team and customers to understand requirements and implement them as working software. Agile & CI/CD: As a team member you will actively participate in the Agile software development lifecycle. You will contribute to test automation, define and develop infrastructure-as-code, and ensure robust, automated builds and deployments at an enterprise scale. Who You Are: A Hands-On Developer: You are a highly skilled, hands-on developer with a strong foundation in object-oriented design and development. A Technical Leader & Communicator: You have a history of leading enterprise-scale technical initiatives and are an effective teacher, able to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues. A Pragmatic Problem-Solver: You understand and apply Agile principles in a pragmatic way and have a track record of learning and implementing new software development practices, tools, and languages. Skills & Experience We Value: Required Experience: .NET 8 or above. .NET Framework 4.8, WCF, and Entity Framework 6. Proficiency in C#. Relational databases and SQL. Cloud architecture and development. Implementing distributed systems incorporating Docker, Kubernetes, and related cloud infrastructure. Event streaming platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hubs). Azure messaging stack (e.g. Service Bus, Event Hubs, and Event Grid). Distributed messaging patterns (e.g. Saga, Outbox, CQRS, and Event Sourcing). Observability tooling (e.g., Datadog, Application Insights, OpenTelemetry). Infrastructure-as-code tools and modern source control and build systems such as Terraform, GitHub, and GitHub Actions, respectively.
