Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics and ensuring timely delivery of freight. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment. Duties * Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring optimal routing and timely delivery of freight. * Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage logistics effectively. * Communicate with drivers, clients, and vendors via phone systems to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise. * Perform data entry tasks accurately, including inputting shipment details into AS400 and SyteLine systems. * Monitor freight movement and provide updates to relevant stakeholders as needed. * Collaborate with 3PL partners to streamline operations and improve service levels within the supply chain. * Maintain organized records of all communications, shipments, and transactions for reporting purposes. Requirements * Proven experience in dispatching or a similar logistics role is preferred. * Familiarity with freight operations and supply chain management principles. * Proficient in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other relevant software such as AS400 and SyteLine. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with various stakeholders. * Excellent data entry skills with a keen attention to detail. * Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a high-pressure environment. * A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.
