Human Resources Advisor Join Hestia Construction Hestia Construction is a growing Alberta-based general contractor specializing in seniors living, healthcare, and multi-family residential construction. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Advisor to support our corporate and project teams through all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, building relationships with employees and leaders, and contributing directly to the growth and success of the organization. About the Role Reporting directly to the Vice President, the Human Resources Advisor will act as a trusted partner to management, providing expertise and support in recruitment, employee relations, workforce planning, policy development, benefits administration, and employee development initiatives. Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Talent Acquisition * Manage full-cycle recruitment for corporate and site-based positions. * Develop strategies to attract top talent across all areas of the business. Employee Relations & HR Support * Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters. * Assist with performance management, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution. * Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies. * Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives. Human Resources Administration * Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee records. * Coordinate employee benefits administration and onboarding activities. * Prepare HR reports and workforce analytics to support business decisions. * Assist with workforce planning and organizational development initiatives. Training & Development * Support the development and implementation of employee training programs. * Assist leadership in identifying growth and development opportunities for employees. * Promote a positive workplace culture focused on continuous improvement. Qualifications * Minimum 3-5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or advisor role. * Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related discipline. * Strong knowledge of Alberta employment legislation and HR best practices. * Experience supporting managers and employees in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Experience in the construction industry is considered a strong asset. * CPHR designation or working toward designation is considered an asset. * Valid driver's license.
