About The Role We are seeking a passionate and skilled Web Developer with expertise in WordPress to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom WordPress websites, themes, and plugins. Your work will directly impact client projects by transforming design concepts into fully functional, responsive websites that are both visually appealing and highly performant. You will collaborate closely with UX designers, content creators, and project managers to bring innovative ideas to life, ensuring each website meets the highest standards of accessibility, security, and user experience. Qualifications Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of professional experience in developing custom WordPress sites and plugins, preferably within an agency setting. A strong command of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL is essential, along with a fundamental understanding of object-oriented programming principles. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and modern development workflows is required. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to create custom themes and plugins, translate design mockups into responsive websites, and troubleshoot technical issues effectively. A keen eye for layout, typography, and responsive design is vital. Preferred qualifications include experience with WordPress page builders like Elementor or Oxygen, WooCommerce integrations, JavaScript for interactive features, API integrations such as REST or OAuth, and knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG). A degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Graphic Design, UX/UI, or related fields is preferred. Responsibilities Build and maintain custom WordPress websites, themes, and plugins using PHP, adhering to best practices for performance, security, and accessibility. Translate static design files from Figma or Adobe XD into fully responsive, accessible websites that function seamlessly across devices. Collaborate with UX designers, content teams, and project managers to conceptualize and implement innovative web solutions. Identify and resolve layout bugs, plugin conflicts, and performance issues to ensure optimal website functionality. Implement third-party APIs and integrations to extend website capabilities and enhance user experience. Optimize websites for speed, security, and accessibility, following current industry standards and guidelines. Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high-quality deliverables. Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends to continuously improve development processes and project outcomes.
