Full Stack Developer

Full Stack Developer | Remote, United States (PST) | 6-Month Stack: React + TypeScript + Node.js + PostgreSQL + Docker + Azure We are seeking a hands-on Full Stack Developer to build and support an enterprise-grade operations platform for a hardware-intensive aerospace industry where software reliability has real-world operational impact. This is a modern stack engagement on Azure, with end-to-end ownership across frontend, backend, database, and DevOps. The role is hands-on coding from day one, with expanding scope into business liaison and requirements work as the platform matures. The successful candidate will own features end-to-end, support the application after go-live, and translate business needs into technical solutions. Responsibilities Develop and maintain frontend applications using React, TypeScript, React Router, and Tailwind CSS Build and optimize backend APIs with Node.js (Express or NestJS) and TypeScript Design and manage PostgreSQL databases: schema design, migrations, query optimization, indexing Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Deploy and manage applications on Azure Web App, leveraging Docker containers Write automated test cases using Jest (backend) and React Testing Library (frontend) Ensure code quality through linting, type checks, and code reviews Collaborate with product, QA, and operations teams to deliver robust features Troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize runtime operations in production Provide ongoing application support post go-live Act as a business liaison to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions (BSA-style responsibilities) Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent requests and tasks Required Skills & Experience 6+ years of professional full-stack development experience Strong proficiency in TypeScript across frontend and backend Production experience with React, React Router, and Tailwind CSS Solid Node.js API development using Express or NestJS Hands-on PostgreSQL experience: schema design, migrations, SQL optimisation Azure Web App deployment and Azure DevOps pipelines Docker for development and deployment Automated testing with Jest (backend) and React Testing Library (frontend) REST API design, validation, and error handling CI/CD, code quality, and DevOps best practices Strong communication skills: comfortable acting as a business liaison and gathering requirements directly from stakeholders Ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent requests without losing momentum Preferred Experience Familiarity with ASP.NET (C#) for cross-platform integration scenarios Excel VBA scripting SQL Server (T-SQL, administration) Background in industries where software reliability has real-world operational consequences: aerospace, manufacturing, utilities, defense, or similar Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications post go-live
