Position Summary The Grocery Clerk is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the store by ensuring shelves are fully stocked, products are fresh and well-presented, and customers receive excellent service. This role contributes to a clean, safe, and efficient shopping environment. Duties and Responsibilities * Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. * Stock shelves, coolers, and displays in an organized and timely manner. * Rotate product to ensure freshness and minimize waste (FIFO practices). * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation and sales floor. * Receive and verify deliveries as needed, ensuring accuracy and proper handling. * Maintain overall store cleanliness, including aisles, storage areas, and backrooms. * Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Store Manager promptly. * Adhere to all Provincial and Federal food safety regulations and company policies. * Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers and responding to inquiries in a friendly and professional manner. * Work collaboratively with team members to support the overall success of the store. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills * Strong work ethic and reliability. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Good communication and customer service skills. * Ability to lift and move products (up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]). * Attention to detail, particularly with product rotation and cleanliness. * Basic understanding of food safety practices is an asset.
