Senior Full Stack Python/JavaScript Developer Location: San Antonio, Texas Working Pattern: On-Site (Up to 10% Travel) Salary: $92,000 – $153,000 Are you an experienced Full Stack Developer with a passion for cloud technologies, modern software architecture and building scalable applications? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Full Stack Python/JavaScript Developer to join a leading consulting organisation delivering innovative digital transformation solutions for government clients. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work alongside architects, product owners and technical teams to design, build and deploy secure, cloud-native applications on AWS using modern development practices. The Opportunity As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you'll play a key role in delivering enterprise-scale cloud applications, modernising legacy systems and developing innovative software solutions using the latest cloud technologies. You'll work across the full software development lifecycle, helping deliver resilient, scalable and secure applications that solve complex business challenges. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain cloud-native full stack applications Build secure, scalable backend services using Python and JavaScript Develop modern user interfaces using JavaScript frameworks Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices Build and deploy applications within AWS cloud environments Collaborate with architects, UX designers, product owners and business analysts Support application modernisation and cloud migration initiatives Develop solution prototypes and proof-of-concept applications Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps best practices Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance across project teams Participate in Agile delivery, sprint planning and technical reviews About You We're looking for an experienced software engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and building modern cloud applications. You'll ideally have: US Citizenship or Green Card status Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) Minimum six years' experience in full stack software development At least three years' experience developing cloud applications on AWS Strong Python and JavaScript programming skills Experience with modern backend frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, Falcon or SQLAlchemy Experience with frontend frameworks including Vue.js, React, Angular or Svelte Strong knowledge of REST APIs and microservices architecture Experience working within Agile development environments Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust clearance Highly desirable experience includes: AWS Certified Developer or AWS Solutions Architect certification Docker, Kubernetes or Amazon EKS AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions and EventBridge PostgreSQL, MongoDB or Amazon RDS Elasticsearch, Redis or Memcached CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices Cloud solution architecture and technical proposal development What's on Offer?
