Position Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Kindergarten Teacher to join our team at our Acadia location. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and child-centered learning environment while supporting children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through Montessori principles. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners and become part of a collaborative and supportive team. Key Responsibilities * Develop and implement a Montessori-inspired curriculum that meets the developmental needs of kindergarten-aged children. * Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that promotes independence, curiosity, and a love of learning. * Observe, document, and assess children's developmental progress, adapting learning experiences to support individual growth. * Build positive relationships and communicate regularly with families regarding their child's progress and development. * Collaborate with fellow educators and leadership to create a high-quality learning environment. * Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and engaging classroom. * Incorporate innovative teaching strategies that align with early childhood education best practices. * Support children with diverse learning needs by implementing individualized strategies and accommodations when required. * Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and Willowbrae Academy policies. Qualifications & Requirements * Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate (Level II or III required, or equivalent provincial certification). * Montessori certified. * Valid Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification. * Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check. * Minimum 3?5 years of experience working with young children in an early learning or kindergarten setting. * Previous experience in a Montessori classroom or Montessori training is required. * Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning. * Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team. * Passion for creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
