Developer

Position Description: Be a part of a team that has direct impact on the day-to-day operations of a growing ecommerce company. The .Net Developer will work on an ecommerce application that drives revenue for the business. This position will be integral in the maintenance and rebuild of our current system, looking at new capabilities and creative approaches to meet our clients’ needs. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with proven experience using ASP.NET (VB.net, JavaScript, VBScript, C#), .NET framework 4.8 and above, CSS, HTML5, IIS, MS SQL Server, JSON, XML, Visual Studio 2022, Windows Server 2019 and working in MS Windows 11 environment. Responsibilities: Support, enhance and maintain ecommerce system by working with ecommerce team and company leadership. Proactively research and provide technical assessments including programming alternatives and detailed technical specifications, identifying the impact on business processes and system resources. Coordinate and participate in testing in adherence to QA and control standards. Follow changes through to successful implementation. Proven finisher. Diagnose and resolve application related issues, identify root causes and implement proactive monitoring and prevention. Qualifications: BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience 5+ years in IT systems development and support 5+ years doing hands on development using ASP.NET (C#, VB.net, JavaScript, VBScript) Experience with ecommerce is highly preferred Strong recent experience working with .Net, CSS, HTML5, T-SQL, Classic ASP Must be proficient with IIS, SQL Server, Visual Studio 2022 and MS Windows environment Must be proficient with object-oriented web development Must be proficient providing and consuming web services, JSON, XML, REST. API development. OAUTH, SAML. Must have experience with mobile/responsive web development Must have experience with Windows Server 2019, setup of sites using IIS, server security, SSL certificates, ciphers, application deployment Must have an understanding of networking as it relates to the processing of web requests, including security requirements, performance, and user interfaces Must have 2xperience with GIT for source control Must be a self-starter who has the ability to work independently as well as part of a small team to ensure deliverables are aligned with business needs Bar coding/wireless technologies relating to shipping products and warehouse activities is a big PLUS. Experience integrating with systems such as Salesforce, Ariba, Coupa, Workday, NetSuite, UPS, FedEx is a big PLUS. WooCommerce experience is a big PLUS. Use of AI to assist with coding, solving problems and communication is a big PLUS. Show more Show less
