DevOps Engineer

Senior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer Full-time | Onsite in SoHo, NYC | $160–200K + meaningful equity A fast-growing AI-native SaaS company used by Fortune 500 retailers is hiring a Senior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer to own and scale the cloud systems behind a mission critical enterprise platform. Backed by a recent $14M seed round, the team is expanding after a year in stealth and is now strengthening its core engineering infrastructure. This role offers high ownership, hands-on architecture, and close collaboration with backend and ML teams. You will ensure the platform remains secure, scalable, observable, and reliable as the company continues rapid growth. Responsibilities Architect and build secure, scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform/Terragrunt Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines; automate manual workflows Own production reliability, including observability stacks, SLI/SLOs, and incident response Implement and champion GitOps workflows Build compliance-ready infrastructure (SOC 2,GDPR), IAM best practices, and secrets management Optimize cloud costs while maintaining performance Develop internal tooling and documentation to accelerate engineering workflows Mentor engineers and contribute to long-term infrastructure strategy Requirements 5+ years as a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineer Proven experience owning infrastructure end-to-end Background in VC-backed startups or mid-sized companies Strong experience building and managing AWS infrastructure for B2B SaaS Expertise with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) Deep hands-on experience with Terraform and Terragrunt Skilled with CI/CD design and maintenance Strong knowledge of Docker, Python, Bash, Jenkins Based in the greater NYC area; onsite 4–5 days per week Additional Details Tech stack: AWS, Kubernetes, EKS, Terraform, Terragrunt, Python, Bash, Jenkins, Docker Hiring: 1 headcount Work policy: Onsite in SoHo, NYC; remote on some Fridays
