Product Infrastructure Engineer | Security Data Platform | SF Hybrid (Onsite 1 day pw) A petabyte-scale search and detection platform used by security teams to investigate threats across years of log data in seconds, at a fraction of the cost of legacy tools - with data staying in the customer's own cloud storage. Backed by a top-tier venture capital firm at Series A, with real customers and strong traction. The entire backend is written in Rust. The Role This is an early-stage individual contributor position with real ownership from day one. You'll build the infrastructure that makes the platform effortless to operate including ingestion pipelines that pull massive log streams from cloud providers and SaaS platforms, and the integrations that connect the platform into customer security workflows and AI agents. Specifically: Building and owning log ingestion pipelines handling hundreds of terabytes to petabytes of data per day Developing integrations with cloud providers, SaaS platforms, and security tooling Shipping features that let customers and their AI agents run investigations across years of security logs Working directly with customers and shaping product direction at a small, senior team Who they're looking for 3-5 years of professional backend engineering experience Proficiency in at least one of: Rust, Go, C/C++, Java, or Swift - if you're not in Rust yet, they'll get you productive within a month Familiarity with data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems Startup comfort - low process, high ownership, fast pace Based in or around San Francisco Bay area Additional details Hybrid - Tuesdays in SF, otherwise fully remote Up to $260K base + meaningful equity If your background aligns or you know someone whose does, drop me a message!
