Location: REMOTE Contract: 6+ month Contract to Hire Client is helping our client to find an AWS Cloud Platform Engineer who will design, build, automate, and support secure AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern DevOps practices. This individual will work closely with development teams to enable cloud adoption, create reusable cloud services, improve deployment processes, and serve as a cloud subject matter expert across the organization. The role combines cloud engineering, software development, platform enablement, and DevOps responsibilities. Top 4 Skills 1.AWS Cloud Engineering 2.Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation) 3.TypeScript Development 4.Containerization & DevOps (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions) Responsibilities •Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure. •Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using AWS CDK and CloudFormation. •Support and guide development teams on cloud best practices. •Configure and manage cloud platform services in production. •Create shared libraries and reusable cloud services. •Automate deployment, orchestration, and lifecycle management processes. •Collaborate across teams to identify bottlenecks and improve delivery speed. •Ensure cloud environments meet security and compliance requirements. Qualifications •5+ years of software development experience using an object-oriented language (TypeScript preferred). •AWS cloud experience. •Experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation preferred). •Experience with Docker and container platforms (ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes preferred). •Experience with databases (Postgres, Aurora, MongoDB preferred). •Experience with messaging/streaming technologies (Kafka, AWS MSK preferred). •GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Git experience. •Understanding of cloud security and compliance. •Strong communication and collaboration skills. •Ability to work remotely within the United States.
