As the first and last point of contact for our guests, Hosts at The Rabbit Hole play a key role in setting the tone for a warm, energetic, and memorable dining experience. We're looking for friendly, organized, and confident individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.You'll be responsible for greeting every guest with genuine hospitality, managing reservations and waitlists, and coordinating table flow to support smooth service. If you love working with people and enjoy being part of a dynamic front-of-house team, this is your chance to be part of a modern gastropub known for its elevated comfort food, craft drinks, and welcoming atmosphere.The day to day:Greet and seat guests in a warm, professional, and timely mannerManage reservation and walk-in traffic using Open TableMonitor table rotation and coordinate with Front Of House and Back Of House teams to optimize guest flowMaintain cleanliness and presentation of the host stand and entrance areaAnswer guest inquiries and assist with special requests, wait times, or accommodationsSupport the overall guest experience with a friendly and attentive approachAssist with bussing tables and support the team by running food and beverages as neededOther duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious experience as a host or in a guest-facing hospitality role is an assetStrong communication and organizational skillsCalm under pressure, with a proactive and team-oriented mindsetComfortable using reservation and table management systems (OpenTable) - preferredA passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiencesValid Smart Serve Certification RequiredAvailable to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysThis a part time position - 15 to 22h / week Legally eligible to work in CanadaAdditional InformationThis is a current vacancy.Wage: $17.60 + shared gratuitiesAI DisclosureTo ensure a fair and efficient recruitment process, some aspects of candidate screening may be conducted using AI software.
