Crew product owner associates co-create software products using Agile methods by representing the needs of the business and customers. Crew product owner associates collaborate with developers, user experience professionals, and data analysts to prioritize work and to assess outcomes. Responsibilities Scrum Leadership Serve as Scrum Master for 1–2 cross-functional Agile teams, supporting adherence to Scrum values, roles, events, and artifacts Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, ensuring outcomes are clear and timeboxes are respected Support Quarterly/Increment planning activities (where applicable) by helping the team prepare inputs, surface dependencies, and align sprint goals to broader objectives Agile Coaching Coach the team, Product Owner/Manager, and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum best practices to improve collaboration and outcomes Foster a culture of continuous improvement and servant leadership Help the team identify actionable retrospective outcomes and incorporate improvements into sprint backlogs for accountability Tool Enablement Support the team’s use of Jira and Jira AI for backlog refinement, sprint planning support, and lightweight reporting Leverage Copilot to help summarize sprint outcomes, document decisions, and improve communication efficiency Metrics and Reporting Track and help interpret core Scrum delivery metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time, predictability, defect trends) with the team Maintain delivery visibility through dashboards and sprint artifacts; highlight risks, blockers, and trends to support timely decision-making Planning and Alignment Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure the backlog is healthy (clear priorities, acceptance criteria, and readiness) and aligned to objectives Identify and escalate dependencies and risks; coordinate with other Scrum Masters/teams as needed to support delivery DevOps and Continuous Delivery Awareness Promote understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and their impact on Agile delivery Encourage quality practices (e.g., definition of done, testing strategies) to ensure quality is incorporated into sprint planning and throughout the SDLC Qualifications Experience: 2+ years as a Scrum Master (or similar Agile delivery role) supporting software and/or product teams Certifications: CSM, PSM I, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent (preferred) Tools: Proficiency in Jira; familiarity with Jira AI and Copilot to support backlog refinement, reporting, and team communication Working knowledge of Agile frameworks, core Scrum delivery metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time), and collaboration in scaled environments Understanding of the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps principles Experience partnering with teams that use CI/CD pipelines is a plus Preferred Qualifications Excellent facilitation and conflict resolution skills Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with Product and Engineering stakeholders Ability to drive practical continuous improvement and adopt AI-powered tooling to reduce overhead and improve delivery transparency The salary range for this role is $66,300 to $85,000 or the hourly equivalent.
