In this role, you will design, build, and maintain OpenSearch‑based solutions that power critical observability, log analytics, and real‑time monitoring for large‑scale, mission‑critical services across multiple business unit s. Responsibiliti es:Develop new features and implement bug fixes in OpenSearch project and related plug insDevelop and maintain Apple-internal control plane for OpenSea rchCollaborate with the DevOps team in case of production escalatio ns.Act as a subject matter expert to help our partners and users to understand the technology bet ter Minimum Qualificati ons:Relevant experience in the IT industry, specifically in search engines, distributed sys temsTechnical proficiency in languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Go langStrong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and indexing techniques specific to search eng inesIn-depth knowledge of search engine internals, ideally with OpenSearch or similar platforms such as OpenSearch or Elasticsearch or Sol.Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix Internals, Systems/Application Design & Architec tureExpertise in identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing optimization strate giesFamiliarity with operating system concepts such as process management and network I/O.Advanced software engineering skills with Java ecosystem expertise, object-oriented design principles, and experience in building maintainable, scalable applicati ons.Hands-on experience with production deployment workflows, including CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, version control systems, and distributed systems observabil ity.Bachelor Science in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent work experi ence Show more Show less
