Tier 2 Support Engineer

Tier 2 Network Engineer Location: Omaha, NE or Des Moines, IA Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 + Quarterly Bonus About the Role We're looking for a Tier 2 Network Engineer to join a growing team supporting a diverse client base of small and mid-sized businesses. You'll work as part of a collaborative engineering team, providing Tier 2 network support while partnering with both Tier 1 and senior Tier 4 engineers to resolve a wide range of networking issues. This position has become available as the previous Network Engineer has transitioned out of the team, with the responsibilities temporarily covered by the Systems team. The role is now being re-established as a dedicated Network Engineering position. Responsibilities Provide Tier 2 support for enterprise network environmen Troubleshoot and resolve routing, switching, wireless, VPN, and firewall issues Escalate complex issues to senior engineers where required Support multiple SMB customers across a variety of network environments Document solutions and contribute to continuous service improvements Participate in project work and network upgrades as required Required Skills Strong experience with Cisco Routing & Switching Experience troubleshooting VPN connectivity Hands-on wireless networking supprt Experience configuring and supporting firewalls Excellent troubleshooting and customer communication skills Preferred Skills CCNA certification Experience with Palo Alto or Fortinet (FortiGate) firewalls Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) Exposure to network automation or scripting What's on Offer Competitive salar y of $90,000–$120,000 Quarterly performance bonus Hybrid working environment Opportunity to work across a wide variety of customer environments and technologies Clear progression within a collaborative engineering team.
