About The Role We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join our talented team at Mobomo, LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining a robust delivery framework for websites. You will serve as a team leader, combining creative design with disciplined programming to develop highly customized and optimized web solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in implementing and maintaining multiple custom frameworks, analyzing page load times, and tuning site performance for maximum efficiency. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and other developers, will be essential to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality websites that meet client specifications and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects, grow your technical skills, and contribute to innovative digital experiences. Qualifications Candidates should possess demonstrable proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, Sass, JavaScript, and jQuery, with experience in React (Gutenberg) and Vue.js preferred. A strong understanding of ES6+ features, CSS Grid, Flexbox, and accessibility in WordPress themes is essential. Familiarity with npm task runners such as WebPack, front-end testing tools, and REST APIs (including AJAX and GraphQL) is required. Experience with Google Tag Manager, WordPress APIs, theme hierarchy, and custom Gutenberg block development is vital. Knowledge of modern project management tools like Jira and Slack, as well as version control systems such as Git, is necessary. The ideal candidate will also have excellent documentation skills, a proactive learning attitude, and the ability to work within Agile methodologies. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are mandatory for this role. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to scope discussions with the development team, project managers, and designers to define project requirements and deliverables. You will integrate third-party APIs and customize WordPress to support specific functionalities, ensuring seamless user experiences. Maintaining and supporting existing client websites through troubleshooting, updates, and enhancements will be part of your duties. Documenting plugins, code modifications, themes, and customizations is essential to maintain clarity and facilitate future updates. You will also be tasked with architecting, building, and maintaining a scalable website delivery framework, producing new user-facing features, and developing reusable code and libraries. Optimizing applications for maximum performance and scalability, delivering testable and functional code on or before deadlines, and collaborating with team members using Agile practices are core responsibilities. Additionally, experience migrating existing websites into WordPress and expanding team expertise through ongoing training and exploration are highly valued.
