Description

About Us At HiredBuddy , we power next-generation artificial intelligence. We specialize in high-quality AI data labeling, annotation, code evaluation, and training pipelines that enable leading tech companies to build smarter, safer, and more reliable AI models. We are looking for a eager Junior Node.js Developer who wants to apply their JavaScript/TypeScript skill set to the fast-evolving field of AI training and developer tooling. Role Overview This is not a traditional web maintenance role—you will be working directly on the front lines of AI model training and evaluation . As a Junior Node.js Developer at HiredBuddy, your core responsibility will be generating, reviewing, and scoring code outputs to train Large Language Models (LLMs) on Node.js and JavaScript development. You will also build automation scripts and internal tools to streamline our data collection pipelines. If you love writing clean backend code, debugging complex issues, and want hands-on experience with AI technology, this role offers a massive growth trajectory. Key Responsibilities Create "Golden Code" Solutions: Write accurate, clean, and well-documented Node.js / JavaScript code snippets, unit tests, and API interactions to serve as ground-truth training data for AI models. Evaluate & Benchmark AI Code: Review, test, and score AI-generated Node.js code for syntax correctness, runtime efficiency, security vulnerabilities, and adherence to best practices. Guide & Correct AI Errors: Identify edge cases, logic flaws, or hallucinated APIs in AI code outputs, rewrite the code, and document why the correction was necessary. Build Automation & Scripts: Write Node.js scripts to automate data collection, validate dataset formats (JSON/JSONL), and parse software repositories for training sets. Simulate Real-World Developer Prompts: Draft realistic backend coding challenges, bug reports, and refactoring scenarios across common Node.js frameworks (Express, NestJS, etc.). What We're Looking For Node.js Proficiency: Strong foundational knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js runtime fundamentals, asynchronous programming (Promises, async/await), and RESTful APIs. Basic Engineering Concepts: Understanding of basic data structures, algorithms, and git version control workflows. Problem-Solving & Debugging: Ability to read unfamiliar JavaScript/Node.js code quickly, spot bugs, and refactor effectively. Technical Communication: Ability to explain why a piece of code is inefficient, insecure, or incorrect in clear, plain language. Growth Mindset: High adaptability and excitement to learn cutting-edge AI evaluation frameworks and tools. Nice-to-Haves Experience with TypeScript . Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha). Basic understanding of databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis) and ORMs (Prisma, Mongoose). Previous experience or interest in AI/LLMs, prompt engineering, or data annotation platforms.
