Cloud Engineer

We are partnering with a growing, technology-driven organization in the Greater Milwaukee area that is investing heavily in modernizing its infrastructure and cloud environment. This is a newly created role due to continued growth and will play a key part in supporting and evolving a hybrid cloud/network ecosystem. This is a hybrid working schedule in Greater Milwaukee, applicants must be local. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and a recently built-out engineering team focused on cloud transformation, scalability, and long-term infrastructure strategy. What You’ll Be Doing This role is a blend of networking and systems engineering. Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across hybrid environments Configure, implement, and troubleshoot networking solutions (both hardware and cloud-based) Manage and optimize cloud networking components (virtual networks, security groups, gateways, etc.) Monitor system and network performance; identify and resolve issues proactively Ensure secure connectivity between on-prem systems and cloud platforms Partner with infrastructure and security teams on upgrades, enhancements, and best practices Participate in ongoing modernization efforts, including cloud migration initiatives Create and maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and improvements Core Experience ~5+ years in a network, infrastructure, or cloud engineering role Strong foundation in networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, etc.) Experience working in hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud) Hands-on experience with enterprise networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) Exposure to at least one major cloud platform, with a focus on networking capabilities Technical Environment (nice to have, not all required) Cloud networking tools (virtual networks, gateways, firewalls, etc.) Virtualization platforms Windows and/or Linux systems administration Network monitoring and diagnostic tools Security tools and remote access solutions Infrastructure-as-code or automation tools Show more Show less
