About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Front End Engineer to join our remote team at Capital One Software. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our marketing website, ensuring it is fast, accessible, and easy to manage. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including content strategists, designers, and marketing professionals to translate business objectives into technical solutions. Your expertise in modern front-end technologies will be instrumental in optimizing site performance, driving SEO best practices, and enhancing user experience. Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software engineering (internship experience not applicable) At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Strong proficiency in React and Next.js, including App Router, server components, and SSG/SSR strategies Solid understanding of TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and responsive, accessible web components Experience integrating with headless CMS platforms and third-party APIs Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows Experience working directly with marketing and design stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions Minimum of 3 years of experience with Contentful CMS Knowledge of design systems such as Figma and ShadCn UI Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Responsibilities Architect, develop, and maintain the company's marketing website using React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS, focusing on performance and scalability Collaborate with design teams to implement pixel-perfect, accessible UI components with a keen eye for detail Integrate the website with third-party services including analytics, CMS, Marketo Forms, and A/B testing tools Establish and manage staging and production deployment processes ensuring reliability and speed Work closely with marketing stakeholders to understand campaign and product goals and translate them into effective technical solutions Drive improvements in Core Web Vitals scores, SEO practices, and web accessibility standards across all web pages Govern and optimize development workflows, including branching strategies, release processes, and incident response procedures Benefits Competitive salary ranging from $179,400 to $204,700, depending on location and experience Performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives Comprehensive health, financial, and wellness benefits supporting total well-being Flexible remote work arrangements Opportunities for professional growth and development within a pioneering technology-driven organization Inclusive and diverse workplace culture committed to equal opportunity Equal Opportunity Capital One is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive environment for all employees.
