Back End Developer

Edison Smart is partnered with a global fintech company that is growing their 24/7 high-throughput infrastructure with a focus on sports and prediction markets. This role suits a mid-to-senior backend engineer who's comfortable in a fast-paced, startup-minded environment and can keep critical transactional systems running reliably around the clock. Responsibilities Design and optimize scalable backend services and distributed systems in Golang for 24/7 trading and sports-domain applications Contribute to architectural decisions, design reviews, and code review Build sports/prediction-market domain knowledge into the core backend, including real-time data feeds and interactive mechanics Diagnose and resolve bottlenecks in large-scale, high-concurrency infrastructure Provide high-tier operational support for real-time client issues Requirements Must-haves: Solid mid-to-senior backend experience Sports/prediction-market exposure, or strong adjacent trading/transactional domain experience Golang, Postgres, Redis, Kafka Strong communication, comfortable in cross-functional global teams Nice-to-haves: Transaction-heavy/payment ledger experience Concurrent systems, race-condition mitigation, distributed state machines Startup/fast-paced environment background Please note: only suitable candidates will be contacted
