Pay $90–$100/hr (Contract) Location Hybrid — Microsoft Cyber Security Summary We are seeking a Lead CyberSecurity Analyst with deep Microsoft environment experience to evaluate current security posture, identify gaps, and drive remediation. This role is ideal for an architect-level professional who can quickly come into an environment, diagnose issues, and establish Microsoft-aligned security best practices—moving from assessment to implementation with strong autonomy. Requirements Strong experience designing and improving security architectures in Microsoft environments (e.g., cloud and/or enterprise Microsoft ecosystems). Proven ability to assess security posture, identify control gaps, and recommend/implement remediation aligned to best practices. Hands-on security leadership experience in areas such as identity/security configuration, threat detection, and security hardening. Strong understanding of Microsoft security tooling and approaches (architecture and operational best practices). Ability to work independently and take ownership of security improvements from discovery through execution. Excellent communication skills to translate technical findings into actionable guidance for stakeholders. Responsibilities Evaluate the organization’s Microsoft security environment and current practices to determine effectiveness and risk. Develop a remediation plan and execute improvements to establish or refine security best practices. Design and implement security controls and configurations to strengthen protection across the environment. Partner with internal teams to prioritize fixes, remove blockers, and drive adoption of recommended practices. Identify and remediate vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, ensuring solutions are sustainable and measurable.
