Back End Developer (Python, FastAPI, Azure)

Optomi, in partnership with an innovative organization, is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Engineer for a high-impact engineering team focused on backend services, API development, and enterprise integrations. This engineer will play a key role in building scalable REST APIs, enhancing system integrations, and supporting modern backend architecture initiatives. What the Right Candidate Will Enjoy: Working heavily with Python, FastAPI, and modern backend API development Building scalable RESTful services and enterprise integrations Contributing to API testing strategy using Pytest, Tavern, or similar frameworks Developing clean, maintainable backend architecture using Pydantic v2 Exposure to Azure cloud environments and CI/CD best practices Collaborating within a highly technical and growth-oriented engineering team Experience of the Right Candidate: Strong backend development experience with Python Experience designing and developing REST APIs using FastAPI Strong T-SQL and relational database experience Hands-on experience with API-level integration testing frameworks such as Pytest or Tavern Experience working with Pydantic v2 Understanding of authentication, security, and backend best practices Preferred Qualifications: Azure cloud experience SharePoint/O365 REST API integration experience Experience with PDF generation and file processing Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation At this time, we are only able to work with candidates directly on a W2 basis.
