Let us help you make your next big career move a reality! What You Will Be Doing You will join our Emerging Technologies team within the IT department as a Software Engineer. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior developers and architects to design, develop, and maintain innovative solutions that support in-store automation and retail technology initiatives. You will assist in creating proof-of-concept projects, contribute to cloud architecture best practices, and help ensure system scalability, security, and reliability. This is a hybrid position requiring three days in the office and two remote, offering an opportunity to influence the technological future of enterprise retail operations through your contributions. Key Responsibilities Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining integrations and applications using technologies such as .NET Core, Python, Talend, RESTful APIs, Oracle, and GCP. Support the execution of proof-of-concept (POC) and pilot projects for emerging retail technologies. Collaborate with team members to implement technical strategies and architecture standards. Contribute to cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, testing automation, and API governance best practices. Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into efficient technical solutions. Help ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of all systems through thorough testing and development. Participate actively in a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning. Required Skills & Experience 3-5+ years of experience in software development or a related field. Strong proficiency with technologies like .NET Core, Python, RESTful APIs, Talend, Oracle databases, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience supporting cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and testing automation. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a curious mindset and eagerness to learn. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Driver's License. Desired Skills & Experience Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture. Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes. Familiarity with API management, GraphQL, and modern data engineering practices. Exposure to AI/ML, IoT, edge computing, or retail technology innovations like robotics and digital shelves.
