Back End Developer - Python

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications, RESTful APIs, and batch/real-time data processing pipelines within a healthcare data ecosystem. Build and optimize high-performance calculation and risk assessment engines capable of processing large volumes of claims, clinical, and healthcare data. Develop production-grade, well-tested code while actively participating in code reviews, CI/CD processes, release management, and on-call support. Collaborate closely with Product, Data Engineering, and Business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into reliable, scalable, and high-performing solutions. Ensure system reliability, performance, security, and operational excellence across distributed cloud-based environments. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS Cloud Services . Proven experience building and supporting scalable backend services, microservices, and enterprise data pipelines in production environments. Expertise in relational database design, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning. Hands-on experience deploying and managing workloads on AWS services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, and S3 . Experience with large-scale data processing and orchestration tools including Apache Spark, Airflow, dbt , or similar technologies. Exposure to Healthcare, Claims, EHR (Electronic Health Records), or Clinical Data domains. Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture, Event-Driven Systems, Docker, and Kubernetes . Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform . Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and cloud-native development. Show more Show less
