Senior Full Stack Developer (React, Next.js, Node.js)

Senior Full Stack Developer (React, Next.js, Node.js) Optomi, in partnership with a leading photography and e-commerce platform provider, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. The Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in designing, building, and modernizing features for a high-scale production platform that supports large-scale school and enterprise photography. This platform handles high transaction volumes, supports 900+ school yearbook productions annually, and enables e-commerce and bulk ordering workflows. What the right candidate will enjoy: Working on a high-volume, distributed platform with significant impact in the photography and e-commerce industries Collaborating closely with Product and Engineering leadership to execute an active roadmap Joining a small, senior-level team with a high degree of ownership and influence What type of experience does the right candidate have: Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript Experience with Node.js (Express) and microservices architecture Strong React and Next.js skills Strong experience building scalable Software as a Service (SaaS) based applications and platforms Familiarity with AWS, Redis, SQS, MariaDB, and MySQL Expertise in distributed, service-oriented systems supporting high transaction volumes Experience with e-commerce platforms, workflow systems, or bulk-order processing Knowledge of modernizing legacy systems and active roadmap execution What the responsibilities are of the right candidate: Design, build, and modernize desktop and e-commerce product features for a high-scale production platform Develop and enhance workflow-driven, bulk ordering, and e-commerce experiences Implement and maintain bi-directional integrations between internal workflow systems and customer-facing ordering platforms Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Technical Leads to translate roadmap requirements into production-ready features Contribute to both modernization of existing systems and development of new feature components Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance across distributed services Show more Show less
