Junior Java Developer (Java + MySQL) Position covered Location: Athens office (Hybrid) Type: Full-time We are expanding our engineering team and looking for a motivated Junior Java Developer who wants to grow while contributing to real-world healthcare innovation. Your Role As a Junior Java Developer, You Will Participate in the development of backend modules for our PDMS and Anesthesia platforms. Work with Java 8+, Java EE, JPA, and CaptainCasa. Interact with relational databases (MySQL) and write efficient SQL queries. Collaborate with senior engineers on architecture, code reviews, and performance optimization. Work on real hospital-integration workflows (HL7, device data, clinical processes). Contribute to testing, debugging, documentation, and CI/CD tasks. What You Bring Good knowledge of Java. Experience with MySQL. Familiarity with JPA/Hibernate or general ORM concepts. Basic understanding of web application development. Eagerness to learn enterprise Java, medical data workflows, and real-time systems. Team spirit, responsibility, and attention to detail. Bonus Skills (Not required, but great to have!) Experience with Java EE. Knowledge of REST APIs or JSON. Exposure to HL7 / healthcare IT standards. Familiarity with Git, Maven, or Docker.
