About Guycan Established in 1975, Guycan is an experienced commercial roofing contractor serving the Greater Toronto Area. For more than 50 years, we have completed commercial and industrial roofing projects throughout Ontario, ranging from service and preventative maintenance to major roof replacement and restoration projects. As Guycan continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Sales Representative / Account Manager to develop new business and manage commercial accounts throughout the GTA. This is not an entry-level sales position. We are looking for an established construction sales professional who understands commercial roofing, building envelope systems or a closely related construction industry and knows how to develop long-term client relationships. The Opportunity The successful candidate will be responsible for generating and managing commercial roofing opportunities ranging from approximately $25,000 to several million dollars. You will work with: * Commercial property owners * Property management companies * Facility managers * REITs * Roofing and building-envelope consultants * Engineers * General contractors * Developers * Industrial companies * Institutional clients Guycan provides estimating, production, service and administrative support, allowing the successful candidate to focus on developing relationships, identifying opportunities and closing profitable projects. Responsibilities * Develop new commercial roofing and construction accounts throughout the GTA * Build relationships with property managers, owners, facility managers, consultants and other decision-makers * Prospect for new business through networking, referrals, industry relationships, direct outreach and site visits * Identify upcoming roof replacement and capital-project opportunities * Conduct roof inspections and client site meetings * Develop proposals and project solutions * Prepare and present commercial roofing proposals * Follow up on outstanding quotations and opportunities * Maintain an organized sales pipeline and CRM * Develop long-term account plans for key customers * Generate recurring service, maintenance and roof-replacement opportunities * Attend industry events and networking functions * Negotiate and close commercial projects * Maintain relationships with clients after project completion * Meet established sales and gross-profit targets Ideal Candidate We are particularly interested in candidates currently or previously working as a: * Commercial Roofing Sales Representative * Roofing Account Manager * Roofing Estimator / Account Manager * Roofing Advisor * Business Development Manager * Territory Sales Manager * Technical Sales Representative * Architectural Representative * Building Envelope Sales Representative * Construction Materials Sales Representative * Commercial Roofing Service Sales Representative Qualifications * Minimum 3 years of B2B sales, account management or estimating experience within commercial construction * Commercial roofing experience is strongly preferred * Existing relationships within the GTA commercial-property or construction market are a major asset * Knowledge of commercial flat-roofing systems including PVC, TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen and BUR is an asset * Experience selling projects valued from $25,000 to $1,000,000+ is preferred * Ability to understand construction specifications, roof reports, drawings and project scopes * Strong communication and presentation skills * Comfortable meeting with senior property-management and ownership representatives * Strong negotiation and closing ability * Self-motivated and capable of independently developing new business * Organized and disciplined with sales follow-up * Valid Ontario driver's licence * Ability to travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area What Guycan Provides Guycan has the infrastructure behind you to help you sell.
