Role Description The Advanced Practice Nurse provides direct patient care to individuals receiving addiction treatment, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of substance use and co-occurring conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The role also involves health education, participation in care conferences, documentation in electronic health records, and coordination with community and faith-based resources to support recovery. This is a hybrid role based in Cocoa, FL, with a combination of on-site care and some work-from-home tasks such as telehealth visits, follow-up calls, and documentation. The position is full-time and requires consistent collaboration with physicians, counselors, and other care team members. Qualifications Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license and certification (e.g., NP) in good standing in the state of Florida. Demonstrated experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or related clinical settings, including assessment and treatment of substance use disorders. Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management. Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation, and comfort providing care via telehealth platforms. Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and communicate clearly with patients, families, and colleagues. Commitment to a faith-informed, person-centered approach to care that respects diverse beliefs and backgrounds. Excellent organizational skills, reliability in a hybrid work environment, and capacity to manage a full-time clinical caseload. Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program; relevant certifications in addiction or mental health nursing are a plus.
