AI/ML Engineer

We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer for a hybrid contract in Austin, TX . This is a 1-year opportunity supporting enterprise artificial intelligence initiatives, including enterprise search, AI inventory and monitoring, AI agents, and AI governance. Responsibilities: The AI/ML Engineer will support critical artificial intelligence initiatives by building and deploying components of an enterprise search solution to improve information retrieval across enterprise systems; assisting with the configuration, rollout, and documentation of the Darwin AI inventory system; supporting the implementation and testing of AI agents aligned to business unit needs; and developing technical controls, documentation, and processes required for AI governance adoption and compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, and statewide technology policies. Minimum Qualifications: • 1 year of experience building and deploying components of the enterprise search tool. • 1 year of experience assisting with the configuration, rollout, and documentation of the Darwin AI inventory system. • 1 year of experience supporting implementation and testing of AI agents aligned to business unit needs. • 1 year of experience developing technical controls, documentation, and processes required for AI governance adoption. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or AI/ML applications. • Experience with enterprise search and information retrieval solutions. • Experience with AI governance, AI monitoring, AI inventory, or responsible AI initiatives.
