Description

Purpose of positionCoordinates and plans aircraft maintenance scheduled tasks for overnight and daytime accomplishment using required computer systems to support the team in areas of material identification, workflow & workload analysis. Supports the Line Maintenance operation through extensive communication with the line and service bases for manpower, part/tooling requirements with Supply Management and various groups within our Systems Operation Centre. Plans fleet specific work orders on a day-to-day basis. Develops and maintains fleet workload requirements for 3+ days in advance of planned events.Key responsibilitiesAnalyze maintenance requirements, manpower and materials to ensure completion of the required maintenance work as necessary;Schedule planned work orders to maintenance bases;Develop aircraft routing plans and adjust routings and work packages to meet operational requirements;Schedule completion of mandatory service bulletins and airworthiness directives;Coordinate availability of manpower and parts with maintenance bases;Work with Heavy Maintenance Planning Group to synchronize work between Heavy Maintenance and Line Maintenance;Ensure the continued airworthiness of the aircraft by confirming your fleet is always in compliance with the maintenance program by monitoring the Maintenance Information System (MIS) and other reports as identified in the Maintenance Planning Work Practices Guide;Prepare and coordinate work orders on aircraft to ensure completion of maintenance work within prescribed limits;Monitor/reserve rotable parts to ensure they are on schedule for planned upcoming removals;Liaise with the line/buyers to ensure the parts are available when required;Liaise with Maintenance Bases to ensure completion of work plan;Notify Duty Manager, Maintenance Control and Line Planning Supervisor of any foreseen problems.;Create an open, honest and supportive work environment;Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, and the safety of co-workers and customers;Other duties as assigned.Required qualificationsHigh school diploma;Good decision making skills;Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (word, excel, access);Ability to adapt to changing situations;Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills;Requires an ability to communicate and coordinate with other departments, to manage and engage multiple tasks to identify and resolve problems, and to ensure compliance to company and Transport Canada regulations;English language fluency or working knowledge.Preferred qualificationsAircraft maintenance experience;4+ years aircraft maintenance planning experience;Knowledge of scheduled maintenance tasks & associated constraints, skills & ground time required to accomplish;Experience using Trax, Flight Pulse and/or Movement Manager.Benefits of joining our award-winning teamEnjoy exclusive employee travel programs across the Air Canada network, giving you and your family access to incredible destinations.Secure your long-term financial well-being with our competitive, employer-supported retirement savings programs (defined contribution pension plan or voluntary group RRSP) for permanent employees.Benefit from a comprehensive health and wellness package, including health, dental, life, and accident insurance to keep you and your loved ones protected.About Jazz Aviation LPJazz Aviation LP (Jazz) is Canada?s largest regional airline and Air Canada?s primary Air Canada Express operator, connecting people and communities to approximately 70 destinations across North America.With over 4,200 dedicated professionals, Jazz fosters a workplace united by purpose and supported by programs and policies that promote safety, diversity, and wellness.
