The Anaesthesiologist will assess patients before surgery, review medical histories, and develop safe anesthesia plans in coordination with surgical and nursing teams. Responsibilities include administering anesthesia, monitoring vital signs throughout procedures, adjusting medications as needed, and ensuring patients’ comfort and safety. The role also covers post-operative pain management, monitoring recovery from anesthesia, and documenting all interventions in accordance with hospital protocols. The Anaesthesiologist will participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, adhere to evidence-based practices, and support continuous improvement in patient care. Qualifications Clinical expertise in anesthesia, including pre-operative assessment, intraoperative management, and post-operative pain control. Proficiency in patient monitoring, airway management, and use of anesthesia equipment and medications. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail and patient safety. Doctor of Medicine (MD or equivalent) with completed residency in Anesthesiology and valid medical license (or eligibility) for practice in West Virginia. Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology preferred, along with current BLS and ACLS certifications. Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and adherence to hospital policies and regulatory standards.
