Role: Android Developer Location: Remote Long Term Contract Ex- Walmart preferred Job Overview: We are seeking a talented Android Developer with strong experience in building high-quality, publicly available Android applications using Kotlin. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mobile development, a deep understanding of Android architecture patterns, and experience working in a collaborative Agile environment. This role requires hands-on development expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor fellow developers while contributing to scalable and maintainable mobile applications. Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional Android application development experience. Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK. Experience developing and supporting publicly available Android applications. Hands-on experience with Android Jetpack libraries. Strong understanding of Clean Architecture, MVVM, or MVP. Experience with Retrofit and modern Android networking frameworks. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and functional programming concepts. Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles. Experience participating in code reviews, pull requests, and collaborative development practices. Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD). Experience mentoring or guiding other Android developers. Knowledge of Android Accessibility standards and accessible mobile application development. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Jetpack Compose. Experience with Kotlin Coroutines. Experience building multi-module Android applications. Knowledge of trunk-based development and feature toggle strategies. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
