Anesthesiologist Advisor to Healthcare VC Fund

Position: Anesthesiologist Physician Advisor – Venture Capital Fund: Healthcare Shares (www.healthcareshares.com) Location: Remote Commitment: Part-Time (2–3 hours/month) Compensation: Carried Interest in Venture Capital Fund About the Physician Advisor Role Healthcare Shares is seeking an Anesthesiologist Physician Advisor to provide frontline perioperative, procedural, and critical care clinical insight into our investment strategy, evaluate emerging healthcare technologies, and support portfolio companies. This role is designed for practicing or former anesthesiologists who want exposure to venture capital while helping shape the future of anesthesia, perioperative care, operating room innovation, patient safety, pain management, and medical technology. Key Responsibilities Clinical Diligence: Evaluate startups through the lens of anesthesiology, including perioperative workflows, operating room efficiency, patient monitoring, airway management, pain management, critical care, patient safety, and outcomes tracking. Investment Evaluation: Assess opportunities across digital health, medical devices, anesthesia technology, patient monitoring, AI-enabled clinical decision support, surgical technology, remote patient monitoring, pain management, perioperative optimization, value-based care, and healthcare services. Portfolio Guidance: Advise founders on anesthesia workflows, provider adoption, clinical implementation, hospital and ambulatory surgery center integration, regulatory considerations, reimbursement, patient safety, and commercialization. Market Insight: Identify trends in anesthesiology, perioperative care, operating room innovation, patient monitoring, critical care, pain management, ambulatory surgery, medical devices, and value-based specialty care. Network Access: Connect the fund with anesthesiologists, health systems, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, device companies, surgical technology companies, pain management providers, payers, employers, academic medical centers, and strategic partners.
