Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Retail Assistant Manager to join our vibrant retail team! Duties * Oversee daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service to ensure smooth functioning and achievement of sales targets * Lead, train, and develop retail staff through employee orientation, coaching, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and skilled team * Manage payroll, scheduling, and budgeting activities to maintain operational efficiency and cost control * Supervise merchandising efforts by implementing effective product placement, pricing strategies, and promotional displays to maximize sales potential * Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure an outstanding shopping experience for all visitors * Conduct interviewing and recruiting processes to attract talented team members aligned with store goals * Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, cash handling, and sales reporting while maintaining accurate bookkeeping records Qualifications * Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with supervisory responsibilities * Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and purchasing procedures * Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued * Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for sales transactions and inventory calculations * Skilled in negotiation, team management, training & development, and operational oversight * Ability to lead by example with managerial communication skills that motivate staff toward shared goals * Experience with retail math including pricing strategies, sales analysis, budgeting, and merchandising techniques * Organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment; previous grocery or wireless sales experience is a plus * Knowledge of phone etiquette and customer service best practices; familiarity with retail store product knowledge is preferred Join us as a Retail Assistant Manager where your leadership fuels our success!
