AWS Cloud Engineer

Role: AWS Cloud Engineer Location: Remote Contract Must-Have Certifications AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer Strong experience with AWS services: EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch Experience with monitoring, logging, backup, security, and operational support Knowledge of AWS Control Tower and AWS Identity Center Experience integrating AWS account provisioning with ServiceNow Understanding of AWS cost optimization and FinOps practices Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience documenting technical solutions in Confluence Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Key Responsibilities Configure and enable AWS services following Cloud COE standards Implement IAM roles, policies, and identity integrations Configure VPC networking and connectivity solutions Modernize AWS Control Tower account provisioning processes Integrate AWS account provisioning with ServiceNow approval workflows Set up logging, monitoring, alerting, backup, and encryption baselines Provision cloud infrastructure using approved templates and IaC modules Build and manage hardened AMIs for EC2 environments Implement catalog-based cloud services and automation Configure monitoring solutions for EC2, S3, and RDS Support SRE practices including SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets Implement FinOps controls including tagging, budgeting, dashboards, and cost optimization Support disaster recovery, resilience testing, and technical documentation About Smart IT Frame: At Smart IT Frame, we connect top talent with leading organizations across the USA.
